American-Palestinian Adolescent Liberated Following Nine-Month Period in Israel's Imprisonment

A Palestinian-American teenager after completing nine months in imprisonment by Israel without being charged was released.
Mohammed Ibrahim was fifteen years old at the time of his arrest this past winter in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, which he previously denied.
The US state department said it welcomed the news of Mohammed's release.
Now sixteen years old, was taken to hospital for treatment immediately after release, according to close relatives.
According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems developed during imprisonment.
Via family representatives, family spokesperson spoke of the family's "overwhelming sense of relief".
The uncle, Zeyad Kadur said the family had been "living a horrific and endless nightmare" over the last nine months.
"At this moment, we're concentrating on getting Mohammed prompt healthcare he requires after experiencing Israel's abuse and brutal treatment over several months."
The state department announced ongoing to provide consular support for the Ibrahim family.
{"American leadership gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," the department emphasized.
A group of American legislators had signed a letter to the state department and the White House, demanding more be done for his freedom.
Mr Ibrahim, with four children who runs an ice cream business from Florida, had earlier stated his son only confessed to throwing stones after being assaulted by soldiers.
The father hadn't visited or communicated with his son since the arrest, learning information solely about his son's condition via legal paperwork.
He stayed without charge within Ofer penitentiary on the West Bank.
It is also home to adult prisoners, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and murder.
There are around 350 Palestinian child security detainees currently imprisoned in Israel, based on prison authority data.
Numerous remain uncharged along with monitoring agencies, as well as the United Nations, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.
After the teenager's freedom, the uncle stated relatives would persist in advocating for justice for his cousin Sayfollah Musallet.
This young American-Palestinian per medical officials died from beating by Israeli settlers during a confrontation last July.
During that period, defense forces stated officials were investigating reports a Palestinian civilian had been killed.
Both young men had worked together within the family's frozen treats establishment in Tampa, Florida.
No charges have been filed regarding Sayfollah's death.
"We demand US authorities to ensure our family's safety," the uncle stated.
