For something a little unexpected, try this elegant, martini-style cocktail. This beverage is airy, scented and drinkable, and pairs nicely with a few chunks of parmesan.

Makes a single portion
30ml gin – a quality London dry gin is ideal
15ml Lillet Blanc – a floral and citrus aperitif
15ml sake – preferably a delicate, balanced sake
Measure the gin, Lillet Blanc and sake into a shaker, add a big handful of ice cubes and stir thoroughly for 30 seconds to cool. Strain into a well-chilled martini glass and serve.
