David Walliams dropped by book publisher.
Acclaimed children's author and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
An official for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into claims about conduct deemed unsuitable directed at young women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies internationally in 55 languages.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.
Some of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as small-screen adaptations.
He has published more than 40 books in total, which features a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
